TailorDub automatically generates natural-sounding English audio for Korean-language video, preserving the emotion and timing of the original performance
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / June 5, 2026 / Seoul-based AI media tech company Studio Freewillusion Inc. today announced TailorDub, an AI-powered dubbing pipeline that automatically converts Korean-language video into natural-sounding English – and English-language content into Korean. The technology will roll out in October on the company’s AI video content platform, AI-Kive.
Unlike conventional machine-translated voiceovers, TailorDub works directly from the original audio track. The system adjusts for differences in speech length between Korean and English, while carrying over the speaker’s emotion, intonation, and pacing into the dubbed version. The result is a viewing experience closer to professional studio dubbing – without the cost or production timeline that has historically limited localization to major studios.

The technology also preserves the original sound mix. In scenes where dialogue overlaps with background audio, TailorDub maintains the acoustic environment of the source material, reducing the quality loss typically associated with automated dubbing. For narrative content, dubbing that preserves the original emotion and intonation helps maintain viewer immersion, while for series and IP-driven titles, it supports a consistent voice and brand experience.
Traditional studio dubbing requires high costs and long production timelines, and has therefore largely been limited to major production companies. Automated translation platforms offer broader accessibility, but their viewing quality is often limited by mismatched speech timing and mechanical-sounding voices. TailorDub combines the quality of studio dubbing with the accessibility of automated translation, enabling natural multilingual dubbing at the platform level without requiring separate production infrastructure.
As South Korea’s largest AI content platform, AI-Kive anchors the initial rollout. The platform draws up to 80,000 monthly active users and hosts over 5,000 AI-generated videos, including AI Cinema titles, competition entries, and creator-produced content. Once TailorDub goes live, AI-Kive’s international users will be able to watch its Korean content in English.
Following the launch, Studio Freewillusion plans to offer TailorDub as a B2B solution for overseas platforms distributing Korean content, with a particular focus on North America. For small and mid-sized platforms that lack in-house dubbing infrastructure, adopting TailorDub lets them localize their existing catalog without separate dubbing production, cutting the cost and time that localization typically requires. Beyond this embedded B2B model, a SaaS offering for enterprise and creator use is also under consideration.

“Global interest in K-content keeps growing, but most of it still relies on subtitles, which limits the viewing experience,” said Dongwook Cho, head of Studio Freewillusion’s U.S. operations. “TailorDub lets audiences enjoy content in their own language naturally, making K-content more accessible than ever.”
“We’re already fielding a steady stream of requests from global content platforms for TailorDub proof-of-concept demonstrations, along with inquiries about embedding it directly within their own platforms,” Cho added. “With the AI-Kive launch, we expect TailorDub to resonate strongly with global clients, including in the U.S., that want to dub English-language and other local-language content into natural-sounding Korean.”
